Current Employee - Finance says

"I have been working at Sonova full-time for more than a year Cons: Finance department is dysfunctional. Department heads will advertise a customer service position as collections/ accounts receivable- but it's really customer service. there is a call queue that is non stop and you are unable to reach your goals or attain a fictional performance bonus, which sounds great in theory, but after working in this department for 3 months, realize it’s completely unattainable. management doesn't seem to understand why the numbers are always in the red-you cannot make outbound calls and collect on past due balances while there is a phone constantly ringing in your ear. No PTO. I've never worked at a place where you don't get at least 5 personal days. no room for advancement. benefits are expensive.sales and customer care have unrealistic expectation of finance department in regards to order releasing and responding regarding trivial requests. Sales and marketing fail to advise customers that they are able to make their payments on line, which is about 75% of the inbound calls. Wouldn’t take this job if I knew then what I know now."

Former Employee - Project Manager says

"I worked at Sonova full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Toxic Work Culture in IT Department Constant overtime Constant pressure in IT No reward monetary or promotions for hard working employees No motivation to move towards upcoming technologies Internal politics and games. Very Expensive Medical Insurance No Remote work for Corporate IT."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Sonova full-time for more than 10 years Cons: Senior management team is a joke- at least in Aurora. Loose morals are encouraged and infidelity is celebrated within the workplace (just ask the Sr. Management team and associates). People get promoted beyond their worth and value to the company. They talk a big game of creating a culture of ownership, yet they dump all the work and pressure on their hourly employees. Sr. Management makes a series of horrible decisions to the business model without considering the work and changes required to make those changes successful. Instead when things aren’t going the way they want they make their hourly employees work a ton of mandatory overtime and lay the blame on others instead of themselves. They throw a lot of people under the bus. If Sonova (Stäfa) want to make big changes, then they need to seriously consider wiping the slate clean at the Sr. management/ director level."

Current Employee - Patient Care Coordinator says

"I have been working at Sonova full-time for less than a year Cons: What's the point of good benefits and insurance if you can barely afford the co-pay since they won't pay you for all your hard work and education?"

says

"I worked at Sonova Cons: Worst managers I have ever experienced, they were vindictive and completely unwilling to contribute to team success."

Former Employee - Production Associate says

"I worked at Sonova full-time for more than 3 years Cons: micro-managed Favoritism production gets very unappreciated, even though without them, there would be no company."

Sales Representative (Former Employee) says

"By far my worst experience in any multinational company. The company has accumulated dead wood over several years where no two people know the same skill and many of whom are grossly incompetent. To be fair. there is no training for anyone nor motivation for high performers . The higher your capability, the more slack you will do for others who are incompetent. There is a high turnover rate at all levels which has resulted in a race to the bottom. The company has had three different managing directors in less than 12 months. Cons: Bullying, internal politics, toxic working environment and low salary"

Hearing Aid Technician (Former Employee) says

"I was kept on probation for 10 months. All the managers are in a tight click and are bullies. All the employees have only duties and no rights. No one ever listens to any ideas. Working with hazardous/poisoneus glues and laquers. Affects breathing and health heavilly. Cons: Too many to list"

Hearing Aid Teachnician (Former Employee) says

"Work with chemicals for basic salary and no chance to get better opportunity, promotion. You risk your health for minimum wages and there is no overtime at all. No one is fair, If you are really hardworking and do all your best and even double number then your target and there is a better job opportunity between the company then no chance to get it, because they say you are to good to remove from the line. I don't recommend it at all."

Warehouse Supervisor (Current Employee) says

"Management is horrible. They have no idea how to run a business efficiently and effectively. I was continually bullied here and this was always overlooked even though I had made formal complaints . They are money hungry and make a big spiel about "customer focus" but are the complete opposite of customer first. I did not learn anything that I already knew, there is no opportunity for career progression. Cons: Long hours, no opportunity for career progression. Bullies."

Facility Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) says

"I don't want to speak bad about any company or organization but I will say this, the office politics is in full effect and the culture of ownership doesn't exist. The mangers and upper management (not all but most) do whatever they want and enforce the rule on those whose position are below them. it's like have two totally different sets of rules. It a "Do what I say and Not what I do" type of culture, when it should be base on your work performance. Cons: Short breaks, the healthcare sucks as well as management."

Electronics Technician (Current Employee) says

"managment was absolutly determined to middle manage every section of the working day with no real clue on what to do and the wages are not only to low for the skill sets required Cons: bad managment"

Quality Control Technician (Former Employee) says

"I've worked with this Company for 26 yrs.Good benefits great company only thing is that Management is very bad.All the Manager are the same don't care about employees well being. Too many of Vietnamese working there like a fish market no English at all.Salary is too low and their is a lot of bullying going on with in the employee management doesn't do anything about it."

SMD Operator (Current Employee) says

"Sonova ist ein grosses Unternehmen darum leidet die Produktion an unterstützung. Cons: Parkplatz muss man bezahlen"

Consultora de Vendas (Former Employee) says

"Aprendi muito, foi uma experiencia bastante inovadora."

SQL Server DBA (Former Employee) says

"the project was very short. it was one of the great experience working on a project to migrate old databases and dts packages to the current version. the people are very helpful."

Martyn Dix says

"I've had two sets of Phonak aids over the years supplied by Boots HearingCare. On the whole I've been very happy with the hearing Aids and the service I've received from HearingCare.

Over the years I've noticed that I have a build-up of dead skin forming between the Tragus and the Intertragel Notch which can be itchy and sometimes painful. This is almost certainly an allergy to the plastic sheathing to the hearing aid wiring.

I emailed Phonak directly asking them advice as to how I could solve this problem. They replied by 'passing the buck' to HearingCare who in turn referred me to my doctor (in the middle of a Covid-19 pandemic!)

Phonak must have come across this problem before and after the large amount of money I have spent on their hearing aids, I consider their customer service is far from satisfactory. In future I will buy from a different manufacturer - the only way to teach these people is to 'walk away'."

alan hird says

"Phonak App
Hearing aids are fine but the App is pretty useless. Only works when phone on and hearing aids do not retain settings. Also keeps on switching the Aids' off!
Support for this problem non existant. Guess they are aware of its shortcomings!"
